What should we do to get ready
for the portrait photography session? |
| |
Sleep well and be ready on time. People rarely look their
best if they are tired or in a hurry. This is especially true
for children: don't skip naptime if you want your children to
be happy and active during the photo session. |
 |
What should we wear? |
| |
Whatever you prefer. Keep in mind that comfort is important,
and clothing should be suitable for the location and activities
planned during the photo session. In general, solid light or
medium colours photograph better than prints or very dark colours.
For group shots consider dressing similarly for a unified picture.
These are just suggestions, but you should wear what you feel
the most comfortable in. Some people actually change their clothing
midway through the shoot for two completely different looks. |
 |
What if my home is not suitable for a photo
shoot? |
| |
We are very experienced with all sorts of spatial limitations
and lighting conditions, and are very adaptable. Sometimes we
re-arrange furniture or replace a regular light bulb with a
"daylight" bulb if we feel it will improve your pictures.
If you wish to have photos taken somewhere other than your home,
there are lots of other good options. We've taken many amazing
photos in backyards (including ours), public parks, private
gardens or interiors (purchase a photography permit), conservation
areas, friend's houses, cottages, the zoo, and more. In any
case, we will discuss the location conditions with you ahead
of time, and arrive early to make any needed preparations. |
 |
Is there an additional charge for several
people? |
| |
Our photo session fees are based on time, so there are no
extra fees for extra people. However, know that larger groups
require a bit more organization and space, so we discuss these
details with you ahead of time when choosing a location and
planning the photo session. |
